The client requested a comedic poster with a funny stage presence. She desired a fresh and new designs, with a clean outcome. As I researched the play, I chose to base my design off of the main character, a queen, who is accused of having an affair with her husbands best friend. After the accusation, her husband, the king, sentences her to 9 months in jail and later abandons the child to a deserted island. The client approved of my take on the play and I brought the sketches to the digital phase. I did not want my colors to be too dark so I opted for a blue tone to represent the plays winter title.
